All you need to know about JioGigaFiber

Reliance Jio again attracted internet users with its new product GigaFiber.

Reliance Jio debuted into broadband market with JioGigaFiber. You can register for GigaFiber through My Jio app or jio.com, registration for GigaFiber is free. Jio GigaFiber is wired internet connection that offers a high-speed internet up to 1 Gbps. It will roll out in 1100 cities and will compete with companies like Airtel, BSNL, MTNL, ACT Fibernet, Spectra, Hathway and similar more. This optical-based broadband service aims to connect 50 million homes in India.

 The company at the launch event had said that the area with the highest number of registrations will be given the preference first and the locality with highest no. of registration will receive the service first.

Jio GigaFiber comes with two services: GigaFiber router and GigaTV set-top box. The GigaFiber router can be used for running internet services on multiple devices at 1Gbps speed while the set-top box is for your television services. According to Jio, GigaTV will offer 600+ TV channels, millions of songs, thousands of movies, and other types of contents are possible. The user will have access to JioCinema, JioTVCall, JioCloud etc.

The company has not announced the actual pricing of the plan, the Jio broadband plans are expected to start from as low as Rs 500. The plan is said to come in three categories - Jio GigaFiber Speed-based plans, Jio GigaFiber volume-based plans, and Jio GigaFiber special broadband plan.

How to register for Jio GigaFiber?

Go to jio.com website or visit the MyJio App. Click on the Jio GigaFiber registration banner. Click on Invite Fiber now option. Enter your address and click on confirm. Enter your personal information and agree to terms and conditions. Click on generate OTP. You will receive a thank you message once your interest is registered.
