Mozilla introduced 'Firefox Send' that provide free & simple file transfers keeping your personal info safe.

Firefox Send is available for web, it is an encrypted file transfer service that allows sharing files up to 2.5 GB.

There are already many ways to share files, through messaging apps, cloud services, emails etc., but these tools have their own limitations like you can send 20-50 MB file using email services etc. Mozilla has introduced Firefox Send, a free, simple, encrypted file sharing tool. Using Firefox Send you can share high definition movies, you heard it right, you can send files having size up to 1.0 GB, you'll have to sign up for Firefox Account to send a file of size up to 2.5 GB.

Well, Send began in 2017 as a Test Pilot experiment. Currently, it available for web, it will be available as Android app in beta later this week.

To use Send go to send.firefox.com upload the file, Send will generate a link, copy this link and share to whom you want to share that file. Best thing is that you can choose when your link expires. You can set the number of downloads or days but to use this setting you need to have a Firefox Account otherwise the link will be active for a single download or a day.

In order to ensure more security, you can add a password so that only that person can download those files who knows the password. It is an end-to-end encrypted service so, not even Mozilla can see your file what are you sharing.

Overall, its a good and handy tool, definitely it'll be better for you to share large files.
